Behind four starters in double figures, the Valdosta State women's basketball team posted a 72-65 victory over visiting Shorter Saturday afternoon at The Complex. With the win, VSU improved to 12-6 overall and 6-4 in Gulf South Conference play. Seniors Sonya Franklin and Crystal Townsend each had 15 points to lead the team.
